The NVA's signature system
Tunnel networks are how the NVA and Viet Cong move unseen. They allow rapid, hidden redeployment and let the communist side survive American firepower and helicopters.
How they work
NVA forces build tunnels to travel and stage ambushes. Since the Open Beta, tunnels within enemy-controlled territory are automatically destroyed when territory changes hands. Cooldowns, travel/entry times and the maximum distance between tunnels have all been tuned for balance.
Countering tunnels
US forces counter tunnels with helicopters for mobility, recon flares to spot movement, and deliberate hunting of tunnel networks to disrupt NVA reinforcements.
